Tohatsu is a Japanese company that have been building outboards since the 1956.

Weight/power ratio is important when you choose a outboard to your dinghy. Everything heavier than 40 kg can be a problem. You do not only risk your own back. The Pulpits are not made for 50 kg engines. The 9.8 HP, 2-stroke engine from Tohatsu has a unique weight/HP ratio. 9.8 HP and only 26 kg !!
